Bolton Lied? Naaaaah.

HOT OFF THE PRESSES!

How do you forget being interviewed or testifying?  Gosh, those guys must have to do it pretty often to forget they did it.

John Bolton, President Bush's nominee for U.N. ambassador, mistakenly told Congress he had not been interviewed or testified in any investigation over the past five years, the State Department said Thursday.

So, that would be a falsehood, a.k.a. "lie"...

Hate to bust your bubble but a "falsehood" is not a "lie" -- an *intentional* falsehood would be a lie.

Now, of course you already knew that -- just slinging a little partisan mud, huh?

It would be interesting to know why anyone would assume that Bolton would lie about being interviewed by the State Department inspector general. It's not like he was being accused of anything -- he was just being interviewed to add his knowledge (about prewar Iraqi attempts to buy nuclear materials) to existing knowledge.

Of course the answer is he wouldn't lie about that.
