9/11 -- The Gift That Keeps on Giving
Some may say "only a face a mother could love" but we at Bring It On love ourselves some Bulldog!
Written By Bulldog Manifesto
(I feel a rant coming on......)
So what if the Bush administration wants to conduct illegal wiretaps, they are fighting the terrorists!
So what if the Bush administration wants to attack a country that has never attacked us and was not a threat to us, they are fighting the terrorists!
So what if the Bush administration wants to take away all my liberties, they are fighting the terrorists!
So what if the Bush administration outs a CIA operative in order to smear a political opponent, they are fighting the terrorists!
So what if the Bush administration has encumbered more foreign debt in the past five years then all of the preceding administrations did combined, they are fighting the terrorists!
So what if the Bush administration paid American journalists to write deceptive and administration-friendly news stories, they are fighting the terrorists!
So what if the Bush administration hasn't enacted an exit plan in Iraq, they are fighting the terrorists!
So what if the Bush administration has destroyed the United States' reputation overseas, they are fighting the terrorists!
Wanna break the law? Invoke 9/11!
Wanna start a war? Invoke 9/11!
Wanna piss on the Constitution? Invoke 9/11!
Wanna make sure your family business profits off the war? Invoke 9/11!
Wanna fuck with people you just don't like? Invoke 9/11!
Wanna make your political adversary look like a treasonous bastard? Invoke 9/11!
I'm so sick and tired of 9/11. The Bush regime uses 9/11 like a heroin addict uses a spoon. It's the ultimate political weapon. Meanwhile, ignorant bastards keep driving around town in their cars with their "9/11- Never Forget" bumper stickers. That's akin to a southern slave in the 1800's wearing a shirt that says "I Need to Be Whipped Some Mo' Masseh"
For fuck's sake, who has gained the most from 9/11? Who? Isn't it obvious?
Terrorists? Who the fuck are these terrorists? The only terrorists I see are the ones sitting in Washington D.C. fucking over my country. Who is fighing against those bastards, that's what I wanna know.
The only terrorists I see are the ones handing out tax breaks to the rich while the poor fight over the scraps. Why isn't the Army fighing those dangerous thugs?
The only terrorists I see are the CEOs making $27 million dollars while the grunts make $17,000 (Walmart). Shouldn't we call in the Navy SEALS?
My government is one big organized crime family. That's the way I see it. Like any strong crime family, you gotta have muscle. And we certainly have the muscle. We make up 5% of the world's population, and yet we are responsible for 50% of all money spent on defense worldwide. "Luca Brasi swims with the fishes!"
Speaking of which, when can we begin calling "military defense" by it's rightful name? It should be called "military offense." For pete's sake, we've been on the offense for about 60 fucking years now. I think the days of "defense" are long gone, aren't they?
Yes indeed, 9/11 is the ultimate lotto prize for the neocon pigs. Full Spectrum Dominance? Try Full Spectrum Fascism.
Oh they danced and danced, drank lots of wine, and listened to lots of Wagner and Beethoven. Meanwhile their "brave leader" was out there fighing against the scourge of communism, the scourge of the Jews, and the scourge of everything else that wasn't Nazi. Yup, the Germans in the early 1940's were asleep too. Their leader had saved them from the communists who, after all, were accused of burning down the Reichstag building. (Oh wait, Hitler actually set the building on fire himself. Sounds so familiar?) Ah yes, because Germany was "under attack", they let Hitler enact the Enabling Act, thereby giving him dictatorial authority over Germany.
Dictatorial power. Where have I heard that before?
Yup, it all goes back to that eleventh day in September, 2001. The day when our country did a swan dive off the top of the World Trade Center, straight fucking down!

You know, if liberal efforts succeed, there will come a day when we'll have a real fascist dictatorship in this country. That is: a government that exercises detailed control over every aspect of human life and commerce, and which no effort by any private party can overturn. Should that day arrive, you'll wish you had saved some of these overwrought condemnations for use then.
Happy New Year.

Excellent entry to start off 2006. Bush and his cronies have used and abused the 9/11 tragedy to no end. I don't know how they can sleep at night. Wrote you an email yesterday - check out my latest blog post.

Ahh as long as people like Francis are out there, the GOP shoudl be fine. Deluded, but fine.
The rest of us are screwed though.

Francis, what you have is clinically referred to as dyslexia - you preceive things out of order and place. Everything you decribed (except as related to some commerce) is already under way. You have allowed your partisan loyality (your need to fit in with what you think is a certian type of crowd) to overwhelm the very ideals that you thought were embodied by your party.
Good luck with that.

Aw, you were doing so well, and then you went off your medication AGAIN!
Assuming they allow you to have pencils at your uh - home, maybe you can list a couple of your "rights" that have been ripped away by Bu$hitlerchimpco.
Apparently the right to make a fool of yourself in front of everyone hasn't been one of them.

Francis, What would you call the whole Terry Schiavo incident?
Man the party of small government sure wants to tell a lot of people how to live their lives and when no one listens they either spy on you or try to write laws to make you listen to them.

It's about time you liberal weenies, who often seem to forget 9/11, remember that on 9/11 everything changed because of 9/11. On 9/11 and every 9/11 since, the President remembers 9/11; do you remember 9/11, and how 9/11 changed everything on 9/11? I thought not!
9/11!
Patriotically,
Rex

We all had the right to a trial before, didn't we? States used to have rights, right? I thought cons believed in the Balance of Estates. I though cons believed in States Rights. I know better now.
The truth is that most of the cons are sleazy, hypocrites who sell their beliefs to whatever crooks are on the "winning team" for a few tax cuts and little good, ol' fashioned scape-goating and jingoism. Makes 'em feel like men.
My ideas make me who I am - not my toys and who I hate.
If Clinton had done EVERY MF'N ONE OF THE THINGS THIS PRESIDENT HAS DONE, HE'D BEEN IN PRISON BY NOW. The cons would've eaten him alive. Heck, they are all so good at dirty politics, (And nothing else - insecure people always feel they have to cheat, and so never really accomplish anything positive) they got a man impeached for lying at a state deposition about whether he had (what was) consensual sex with an unrelated party! Amazing. Presidents have been caught doing far, FAR worse and got away it. And Bush is not much on that list, if you know your history.
All freedoms, be they in use or not at any given time, are prescious. For each one we lose, we lose another cord holding up that bridge. Already, modern drug laws are blatantly unconstitutional and abusive - taking people's homes and vehicles, locking up people for good parts of their whole lives, peeking in on homes and phones and computers and most anything else, 2 million people in prison at any given time, people losing the right to vote - for what? Because most cons are sleazy little cowards afraid of black people, hispanics, and long-hairs.
And all along, cons trust the gov't no matter what they do, as long as they believe it won't be done to them - like that asian girl who spent a few weeks in jail the other day because two separate tests detected HERION COCAINE AND METHEMPHETAMINES in what was pure flour. Lucky she wasn't black - she'd be up for life. http://www.bergen.com/page.php?qstr=eXJpcnk3ZjcxN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXkyJmZnYmVsN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXk2ODQ3NzI3
But no! It's we libs who want to regulate COMMERCE who are the Nazis, not the racist, cowardly right!
Jeez.

Great rant! Looking forward to more this 2006!

Well if your Jose Padilla, a US citizen (and quite possible certified scumbag terrorsit wanna be) you lost your right to Habeus Corpus. But I'm sure that doesn't matter. We lost a whole lot of our right to privacy, but since you on the right don;t ever actually recognize that as a Right, I guess maybe you didn't lose it. I'm looking forward to the government sponsored TV camera in my bedroom anytime now.

Fuck freedom. People don't deserve it.

Can never forget 9/11, and hate what has been done in the name of it.
We go to war supposedly in the name of 9/11 while most people who live in Manhattan have seen their fixed expenses rise 30 or more percent--real lot more--while the average raise is 3%
We have the highest all over the board cost of living in the country; our minimum wage went up to $6.75 an hour today.
Try living in Manhattan and raising a teenager on 50K a year--my best friend does
When the class wars begin, and they will; it's not going to be race against race, or religion against religion here, but who doesn't get the money, I know what side she will be on.
Laugh all you want at that, but New York, the only civilian target ever hit in this country was denied its fair share of aid over and over again
The name of 9/11 has been invoked in everything but helping New York
Posted by: pia | Jan 1, 2006 7:12:33 PM
Pia do you give a shit about any person besides yourself and any civilization besides your own.
"The name of 9/11 has been invoked in everything but helping New York"
Yeah like protecting the rest of the country. If you feel so bad for yourself get the hell out of the city and come out to the country. Id kill myself if I lived there or any major city. Except of course San Francisco or Anchorage.
Wanna see what it would be like if the people at BIO were in charge? Watch the movie Equilibrium.

Who are these right wing facist nutcases that post comments on your blog telling you how stupid you are for not falling for the 9/11 line. I don't know a SOUL that still believes that there is a connection between 9/11 and iraq. Not even our facist government anymore.
Posted by: margalit | Jan 1, 2006 11:12:45 PM
Margalit, with all due respect. Go eat shit!
Posted by: bushleaguer | Jan 2, 2006 7:34:55 AM
Margalit:
As far as I'm concerned you are free to say what you please as long as I am free to say what I please. You also have the right to look as intelligent as you want to be. So if you want to look misinformed, call people names and state misleading facts, be my guest. While you are doing that, you can continue to be oblivious to why your side keeps losing to the "right wing fascists".
Cheer up though, it looks like you will have a home at Bring It On with those kind of thoughts!

"While you are doing that, you can continue to be oblivious to why your side keeps losing to the "right wing fascists"."
All about "winning" eh, Steve? Never about being right...
